I have dismissed the idea of creating works for eternity. I am interested in the idea of appearing and disappearing. The work I do as a sculptor dissolves again. It is like a public corporation. People buy shares in it. They acquire a part of the installation and thereby participate in a communicative process. I do not see culture as a hierarchical conception but rather struggle to see that as many people in our society as possible come to terms with art. (Ottmar Hörl)
